OUR YOUNG STOCK

Our main aim is to breed ponies that have a trainable temperament  and conformation that is suitable for competition such as dressage and jumping.  Our foals are handled within the first couple of days and halter broken within the first two weeks of life.  They are led out and about with their mothers, float trained and taught to tie solid.  They have their hooves trimmed and wormed regularly.  We do our best to ensure the health of our young ones. 

 

Once weaned they continue their training for a short while and then are turned out and brought in regularly for worming and hoof trimming.

We do not start them under saddle until they are 3 -4 yrs of age to promote optimal developement before their ridden career.
